Bob Bradfield – charting the wild west

    7 for 7:30Cotswold Club

Bob Bradfield, a member of the Royal Institute of Navigation for 35 years, made his first chart in Paradise Harbour, Antarctica. Six years ago he founded Antares Charts and has since made almost 300 superb charts covering many of Scotland’s best anchorages. Many of you will have heard our Vice Commodore enthusing about these jewels – combining pinpoint accuracy with exquisite design, each is a work of art. Now incorporated in the Imray/CCC sailing directions, Bob’s charts make some of the world’s most stunning anchorages accessible to mere mortals.
Describing himself as “an unqualified enthusiast”, Bob will tell us why and how he makes his incredible charts.
