    Christmas Meeting

    7 for 7.30pmThe Blue Boar

    The usual Christmas frolics, including traditional dinner, Barnaby’s famous quiz, a shanty or two from Dave Oakley, photo competition and of course plenty of seasonal cheer!

     


    Christmas Menu for Thursday 14 December 2017 – £24.95

    Starters
    A. Chicken liver parfait  – winter pickles and quince jelly
    B. Severn and Wye smoked salmon – pickled cucumber, shallots, capers and lemon
    C. Root vegetable Bubble and Squeak – butternut squash, Woodhalls ham, quince, chicory and hazlenut salad
    D. Roasted Celeriac soup (v) – toasted chestnuts and seeds

    Mains
    A. Crown of English Rose Turkey – pigs in blankets, bread sauce, brussel tops and chestnuts
    B. Pan fried Seabass – fennel, orange and watercress pearl barley and mixed herb gremolata
    C. Celeriac and Sussex Charmer gratin (v) – celeriac, spinach, leek and Sussex Charmer gratin, butternut squash puree, Jerusalem artichokes and olive oil roast potatoes
    D. Slow cooked Beef pudding – star anise and parsnip suet pudding, celeriac puree and brussel tops

    All dishes served with Goose fat roast potatoes and honey roasted carrots and parsnips
